Elizabeth L. Archerd is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Liz has assisted in partnership disputes, employment litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, and commercial class actions, among other areas.
Every day at PFS brings Liz an opportunity to learn and grow as a litigator, backed by a team of world-class attorneys to mentor her. Liz most enjoys the variety involved in litigation; from attending court to drafting demand letters, researching to reaching out to clients, there isn’t a dull day.
Born in Minnesota, Liz attended St. Olaf College. She couldn’t choose just one major, so instead she chose three – Latin, Political Science, and Psychology. While at St. Olaf, Liz also interned at the Minnesota Historical Society and participated in mock trial. Liz realized that she enjoyed research, writing, and public speaking, and wanted a career that would allow her to do just that. She traveled south for law school and warmer weather, graduating with her J.D. from Emory University School of Law. After law school, Liz returned to the Midwest and joined PFS as a litigation associate.
When she’s not at work, you can catch Liz at the Anti-Cruelty Society, where she volunteers by caring for dogs in the shelter’s adoption center. Liz likes to stay connected to both St. Olaf and Emory alumni groups in Chicago, and acts as an alumni interviewer to Chicago high school students applying to Emory’s undergraduate programs. Some of Liz’s favorite activities include attending concerts of all varieties, visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, spending time in the great outdoors, exploring Chicago’s food scene, and traveling to new places.
