Patzik, Frank & Samotny Ltd. (“PFS”) respects your right to privacy. This is our privacy policy. Fair warning, it is not an exciting read. Nevertheless, it is important and we encourage you to read it carefully. It applies solely to your access and use of this website in your capacity as a website user. It does not apply to any other website or offline point of contact between us and you, and it does not cover information that we may receive or collect by means other than this website. It should go without saying—but of course, we’ll say it anyway—“our,” “we,” and “us” refers to PFS and “you” refers to you.
The Information We Collect and Store: We collect information using a live video feed from the camera on your computer, as well as a team of expert hackers and private investigators. Just kidding! We primarily collect information that you voluntarily enter on our website, including our “Contact Us” and “Join Our Team” webpages. On the “Contact Us” webpage, this information consists of your first and last name, your email address, and the specific message that you enter. On the “Join Our Team” webpage, this information consists of your indication of the type of position you are interested in, your first and last name, your email address, telephone number, any resume or other documents that you may upload, and whatever additional information you may enter. The information we collect via either of these online forms may be stored in a database to assist us in responding to your specific inquiry or application. By filling in either of these online forms, you are giving your consent to be contacted by us in response to your request or submission. On the “Contact Us” webpage, the information you enter may be used to contact you, to respond to your specific request for information, or to otherwise respond to your inquiry. On the “Join Our Team” webpage, the information and any documents you enter or upload may be used to evaluate your application in association with any employment openings that we may have, and to contact you regarding your submission.
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that an individual under 16 is submitting information without consent from their parent or legal guardian or as permitted under applicable law, we will delete the information as soon as possible from our database. If you believe we are collecting information about an individual under 16, please notify us immediately so that we can take appropriate action.
We retain the information collected pursuant to this privacy policy for as long as necessary to perform the activities described above, or where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so, such as for legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting requirements. When we no longer have a legitimate interest for retaining this information, we will delete it.
The Information We Disclose: We may disclose information collected from our website users to those who provide support services to us, such as IT service providers. We reserve the right to disclose the information collected from our website users if we are required to do so by law, court order, or legal process. We also reserve the right to transfer the information we collect as a part of a merger or reorganization involving our firm.
Additionally, we use Google Analytics for website traffic analysis. In order to track your session usage, Google places a cookie with a randomly-generated identifier in your browser. Not to worry, however, because this identifier is “anonymized”. No, our IP lawyers have not created a device like the “Men in Black” memory eraser. That is just a fancy word meaning “to make anonymous,” so that the identifier contains no identifiable information like your email, phone number, name, etc. We also send Google your IP address. We use Google Analytics to track aggregated website behavior, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining website effectiveness. However, if you would like to prevent this data from being used by us and Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.”
Notification of Changes: This privacy policy is subject to change without notice. If we change our privacy policy, we will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
